Zaprešić open 2022

 Dear bowling friends,

bowling team “Zaprešić” is hosting the 11th Zaprešić Open in the six-lane bowling alley and invites you to Zaprešić. Zaprešić Open is the biggest sports manifestation in Zaprešić and the biggest bowling tournament in Europe of the highest quality standards. Traditionally, Bowling Club Zaprešić will assure all participants and visitors feel welcome and comfortable and we hope everybody will enjoy our sport while taking home some nice memories from here and from Croatia.

QUALIFICATIONS 28.03.2022 – 29.04.2022:

In the qualifying period men and women players play 120 balls. The men’s finals will feature 16 of the most successful players from the qualifying period and 8 players of the organizers’ choice, while the women’s finals will feature the top 8 players from the qualifying period.

KNOCK OUT:

The final tournament will be held according to the CUP system: 2 sets x 30 balls (single-elimination). In case of a tie in a set, “sudden victory” decides the winner (1 ball each). In case of a tie score in sets, “sudden victory” decides the winner (3 balls each).

For men, the top 8 players from the qualifying period enter the quarterfinals directly, while players ranking 9th to 16th place as well as the 8 players of the organizers’ choice enter another qualifying round before the quarterfinals. In case of a tie, the player with a better cleaning score, fewer misses and more performances in the qualifying period wins. Women’s finals will feature the top 8 players from the qualifying period.  

The players who get knocked out in the qualifying round continue to compete in a new format of the competition: 2 won sets in a game of 2 x 15 balls. A throw is valid only if the ball knocks down pins 1 and 2 or 3, depending on the “hole” the player is aiming for. The winner of the knock out phase wins 500,00 HRK and the second best player wins 250 HRK. More details about this format of the competition will be provided during the tournament.

All registered and recreational players who sign up and pay the entry fee of 100,00 HRK have the right to compete. The fee for each subsequent performance is 50,00 HRK, while the fourth performance is free. The number of performances in the qualifying period is not limited.

Medals, diplomas and trophies:

Men's competition:

7.500,00 HRK prize + 7-day stay in Nečujam on the island of ŠOLTA in Dalmatia for 4 people + trophy for first place

3.500,00 HRK prize + trophy for second place

3rd and 4th place 1.500,00 HRK prize + trophy

Women’s competition:

35% of the entry fees in the women’s tournament + trophy

20% of the entry fees in the women’s tournament + trophy

10% of the entry fees in the women’s tournament + trophy

The best men’s and women’s score in the qualifying period win 500,00 HRK each. The best men’s and women’s score in the qualifying period in the category U23 win 500 HRK each.

6 nights for 5 people in a suite in Nečujam on the island of Šolta with lots of great prizes during the raffle event

All players get 1 free raffle ticket and a chance to win the main prize, a 7-day vacation on Šolta for 4 people. Everybody else (players, the public and everybody who visits the bowling alley) can also buy a raffle ticket at a price of 10,00 HRK.
